Trust & Safety
Senioritis is built on three layers of trust: verified caregivers, quality standards, and community accountability. Here is how each one works.
Pillar 1: Caregiver Trust
Every caregiver is personally interviewed before joining Senioritis.
Unlike platforms that automate caregiver onboarding for scale, Senioritis personally interviews every caregiver to confirm experience, language proficiency, cultural fit, and alignment with our qualification standards. Background checks are then conducted by Checkr. Caregivers who do not meet our standards are not admitted to the platform.
Checkr Background Check
We partner with Checkr to run multi-state criminal record searches, sex offender registry checks, and identity verification on every caregiver applicant.
ID Verification
Government-issued photo ID is verified through our secure document review process before a caregiver profile is activated.
License Review
Professional licenses and certifications are reviewed manually by our team and re-verified upon expiry.
Trust Badges
Caregiver profiles display badges that reflect verified credentials. Each badge has a specific meaning. No badge is awarded without review.
Background Checked
Every caregiver passes a comprehensive criminal background check powered by Checkr before appearing on the platform.
CPR Certified
Caregivers holding this badge have submitted a valid CPR/First Aid certification and are trained to respond in emergencies.
License Verified
Professional licenses (CNA, HHA, etc.) are reviewed by our team and confirmed against issuing authority records.
Compliance & Certificates
Trust artifacts, including professional licenses, liability insurance, and CPR certifications, are collected, reviewed, and stored securely. Each artifact is tracked with an expiry date.
- Licenses are reviewed upon submission and re-verified before expiry.
- Insurance certificates must meet minimum coverage thresholds.
- CPR certifications are accepted from recognized organizations (AHA, Red Cross).
- Expired credentials automatically remove the associated badge from the profile.
Pillar 2: Platform Trust
Senioritis is built to meet the standards families and care partners expect from a healthcare-adjacent platform.
- Secure data handling with encryption at rest and in transit, designed to support healthcare-grade standards as the platform scales into clinical partnerships
- Caregiver qualification standards set by our co-founder and Head of Health & Wellness, Ann Phuong Dinh, MSN, RN
- Regulatory alignment with California Department of Social Services and Medi-Cal CalAIM standards
- Secure infrastructure with end-to-end encryption for messaging and document storage
- Independent legal review by Mission Law
Pillar 3: Community Trust
Senioritis is built with and for the communities we serve.
- Multilingual support at every touchpoint
- Caregivers matched by cultural context, not just availability
- Community partnerships with Bay Area RCFEs, hospices, and cultural organizations
- In-language caregiver interviews so families can vet caregivers in their own language
